The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate held its 41st Urban Leadership Awards Dinner at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel this week. Each year 700 New York Real Estate industry VIP’s attend this important event. Star Talent provided the music that kicked off the evening’s festivities in the Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

This year, Industry legend Mary Ann Tighe, CEO of the New York Tri-State Region for CB Richard Ellis, received the coveted Urban Leadership Award. The award was created in 1971 to honor and recognize a professional leader who has contributed significantly to the growth and prestige of the real estate industry. Ms. Tighe became the first woman in the history of the award to be honored. Past winners of the Urban Leadership Award include: Mike Fascitelli, Bruce Ratner, Bill Rudin, and Steve Ross.
