Dear Michael Taylor,
We had to make our first “thank you!” letter to you as we feel the our whole party’s wonderful success rests squarely with your fantastic Galaxy Band.
Our guests raved to us from the first dance set, asking us “Where did you find such a great band!” I simply said I trusted my planner’s suggestions and I’m so glad we did.
The ceremony ensemble performed beautifully, and the bandleader was spot on when it came to presenting everything in a tasteful manor. Back when we began the process of looking for a band we were so concerned about the “taste level” of so many bands that you see. Well these guys were such a class act.
I have to mention the effort that I know the band put into learning some of our special requests. All I can say is they played everything we asked from Akon, Pitbull and Rihanna to all my dad’s classic rock songs and they knew just how to work them in to the playlist. We absolutely could not have been happier and they truly exceeded our very high expectations !!
We gave your name to Seth’s law partner and I know he will be calling to book them as soon as they get their date.
Thanks so much for all your great advice and I hope to see your band on many occasions in the future.

Quest Magazines Wedding Issue

Galaxy Dance Band was the band at our wedding and we could not have been more thrilled. The comments we received from everyone — literally everyone — following the wedding were all along the lines of either “WHERE did you find this band??” and “that was the best band ever!!” I had learned of Star Talent from a friend who I had asked for recommendations as she had done extensive research and she said her absolute favorite choice for a band, as she had seen them perform twice at other weddings, was the Galaxy Band. She was 100% right. I cannot recommend theme highly enough as they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, even when we had to switch the date on them after signing the contract because of a problem with the original venue. They have a wide range and are more than willing to learn anything not on their extensive playlist. I am positive you will share the same sentiment!

Star Talent Galaxy Dance Band performed at a wedding reception held at Riverside Church. In addition to the great party spaces managed by Pasha Events, the Church also contains the worlds largest and heaviest carillon bell ever cast.

The Carillon was a gift to The Riverside Church by the late John D. Rockefeller, Jr., in memory of his mother. It contains 74 bronze bells ranging in weight from the 20 ton Bourdon (hour bell at left) to the smallest treble bell of 10 pounds. The total weight of all the bells is over 100 tons.

I had a great experience with Star Talent. The Galaxy Dance Band we had totally read our guests perfectly. They played just enough Top 40 to keep it fresh and certainly went back in time to make everyone happy. I can tell the singers totally were enjoying themselves and my guests loved that the performers were so into partying with them. They played everything I had requested, even my retro J. Lo songs. You can tell they really got into the “arena rock” at the end of the night. I had a classical trio for my ceremony and they played lovely. My dad was so pleased that during dinner they played light jazz at a volume that he even enjoyed. (Dad did make them promise they would) I found everyone that I worked with to be extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I really enjoyed the whole process and would recommended them highly.

I am so pleased to post this review as my experience with Star Talent the Galaxy Dance Band could not have been better. The band was just so much FUN from the very first song of the night. It was my belief that we might be on the demanding side of clients, our family throws, and goes to a lot of parties. They have seen and done everything. Well let me say my family learned a new kind of excitement from our wedding. The band literally blew everyone away. They performed every decade of music as if we were listening to the original band. I think there had to be six or seven of the band members that sang and each were excellent, especially the vocalist that did the Jay-Z requests. What an amazing performer.
I found the bandleader and everyone we worked with to be very professional and caring. I say caring because throughout the process it was evident that they were interested in “getting us” and our tastes. The band choice was a huge decision for us as my dad is a former musician. View full article »
